GUIDANCE FOR TENANTS
Landlords pay letting agents to find tenants, collect rent or both. Most Letting Agencies provide a fully managed service. This includes dealing directly with tenants and arranging for repairs and maintenance on behalf of the Landlord.
Letting Agents usually have a contract with the Landlord and act on their behalf for a fee. They also charge fees to tenants for referencing and administration costs.
Make sure you know what fees are charged before you sign an agreement with a letting agency. We believe in full transparency with our fees. We have no hidden fees and our charges are very competitive within the sector. Full details of our fees can be found here.
• We do not charge for landlord references should you leave one of our properties.
• We do not charge you if you simply wish to renew your current tenancy with us.
• Don’t just take our word for it see what previous tenants have got to say about us here.
• CB Lettings is committed to a high standard of service to both Tenants and Landlords:
When viewing properties check that the Agent is a member of one of the recognised Bodies such as NALS and the Property Ombudsman Scheme. This demonstrates their commitment to a high standard of service. In addition, Agents must protect deposits in one of the Government Approved Schemes.
