New guidance for landlords and tenants on repairs

New guidance for landlords and tenants on their responsibilities for repairs has been published online by the insurance company Endsleigh. The guide is on its 'better relations hub' which it launched after consultation with a number of landlords and tenants.
Their research has shown that of most concern to landlords were tenants who damaged the property, followed by tenants not informing them of problems or damage, and not completing the check-out to a high standard.
Tenants were most frustrated by landlords not carrying out repairs quickly enough, followed by the landlord not being very easy to contact when needed, and making cheap quick-fix repairs.
