Deposit Protection Service holds Â£1 billion deposits

The UK'S largest tenancy deposit protection company is now protecting more than £1 billion of tenant's money. The Deposit Protection Service is currently now holding over 1.2 million deposits across England and Wales.
Since its inception in 2007, the Service has protectd over 3.5 million deposits worth over £2.8 billion.
The Deposit Protection Service is the only scheme to offer both types of options. Landlords and Letting Agents can choose either custodial - where the scheme holds the deposits or insured - where the Landlord or Letting Agent holds the deposit.
The custodial scheme is open to all Letting Agents and Landlords, with no membership fees or qualifying criteria. The scheme commits to repay all deposits within two calendar days once agreement has been reached by Landlord and Tenant. It also offers a free Alternative Dispute Resolution Service.
All deposits held by CB Lettings are protected by the Deposit Protetion Scheme and CB Lettings also subscibes to its Alternative Dispute Resolution Service. In addition CB Lettings carries out a full inventory service with comprehensive colour photos for all its managed properties to ensure that the condition of the property is recorded at the start of the tenancy.
